Measured Movement and Other Updates
I included rules for movement without Zones for those who find them too outré. It's not super complicated, simply replacing the concept of a Zone with a single unified 4 inch "Step." What makes it work is the inclusion of the concept of snapping to cover borrowed from MERCs by Brian Shotton. This gives movement just enough wiggle room so you aren't constrained by needing to move in straight lines. I've included a 4 inch Step measurement "ruler" in the player's kit.
I also included a small blurb about obstacles in movement.
The most pervasive change is the removal of range increments in the form of Short, Medium, and Long and simply replacing them with numbers of zones. This should give players one less thing to remember. One less term to translate into game mechanics at the table.
